The project has been terminated and all funding has been cut.
Phase four has led to what I call "BLACK SUN". A catastrophic event resulting in total vehicle loss and crew fatality.
All systems were cleared for standard lunar injection protocol with SELENE-4 being manned by three astronauts. All of which, helped design the RNCR. Rivers, Martin and Silvia.
SELENE-4 somehow maintained full compliance with ground-controlled navigation until T+04:08.
At T+04:09, VLP engaged and did the same exact movements as SELENE-3 had done last year. It disobeyed physics and went straight ahead toward the moon. After the 15 minute sequence, SELENE-4, in the footsteps of her predecessor, slingshotted itself back to earth.
But at one point, External satellite imaging recorded a transient optical anomally surrounding the vehicle. The complete absence of measurable light, it appeared that the vehicle was darker than space itself. With no atmospheric or celestial inteference source detected.
During the descent phase, VLP locked to the mediterannean region once more. Ground control physically changed the co-ordinates several times as the vehicle kept shifting, eventually locking onto ground control. Even though the capsule travelled at unimaginable speeds, the angle it took prevented it from breaking up during re-entry, crashing the vehicle into the kennedy space center. One of the primary structural wings was completely destroyed. Thankfully this was a night-launch, so several government workers were not on the premises, but it led to the death of all three crew members, 3 ground agents and 2 personnel missing (the MIA status is still unchanged) Out of all 12 of us assigned to the project, only Four of us are alive.
Somehow, the RNCR vaccum containment system did not fail during impact. It protected the entire reactor with no radiation leaks, allowing us to retrieve it and store it safely.
This entry now serves as the formal closure statement for the LUNAR BRIDGE project. All active testing has been suspended and all remaining prototypes including the RNCR reactor itself, has been stored safely. And the entire project has been shut down.
Across the trials, the following conclusions have been confirmed:
Rocket Containment Nuclear Reactor, is a promising tool if VLP is taken out of the equation. It is a great source of energy and power when the system is not locked to an unknown source. The system does not "navigate" It resolves toward a direction. The cause of the locking is still unknown to all of us, as the government has not allowed us to physically investigate the source.
It is my professional conclusion that continued research into VLP behavior under RCNR conditions presents no viable pathway toward the goal. The BLACK SUN incident was not a tragedy. A tragedy implies an endpoint that was not intended, the system reached its intended outcome everytime, that is precisely the problem.
